Map Sensor Control (Entitlement)

SKU: 92910 Category:

Unlocks the MAP sensor settings in your tune.
The MAP (manifold absolute pressure) sensor tells the ECU how much boost or load the engine is under. Everything else in the tune, including fuel, timing and boost control, is built on that reading. This entitlement lets your tuner change the sensor calibration so the ECU reads pressure correctly from the sensor you actually run.

You need this entitlement if you:

  • Run more boost than the stock sensor can read
  • Install an aftermarket or higher-range MAP sensor
  • Tune for E85, where the extra fuel headroom is typically used to run more boost
  • Build a turbo or supercharger kit on the Pro R (the base kit requires it)
  • You don't need it if you:

Stay on the stock MAP sensor for staying NA only want a performance tune

Why it matters: every sensor has a maximum reading. Once boost passes what the stock sensor can measure, it stops reporting real pressure. The ECU then fuels and times the engine for less load than it is actually under, which can cause lean conditions and detonation. Map Sensor Control lets your tuner load the correct scaling for a higher-range sensor, so the ECU sees true boost across the whole range.
