Run a second set of injectors for big-power builds.
Staged injection uses two sets of injectors per cylinder. The primary injectors handle idle and everyday riding. The secondary injectors come in as load and RPM climb, adding extra fuel for high power. This entitlement lets the ECU run and control both sets. On the Can-Am that means 6 injectors, and on the Pro R it means 8.
You need this entitlement if you:
- Are building serious power that one set of injectors can't fuel, such as high boost or E85
- Want the extra fuel headroom without giving up a clean idle and smooth part-throttle
- Have installed a second set of injectors and need the ECU to run them
You don't need it if you:
- Run one set of injectors that can fuel your build
- Are on a stock or mild build
Why it matters: one very large injector can make a rough idle and poor low-load fueling. Staging gets you the fuel of a big injector setup while keeping the small injectors' clean low-speed behavior.
Note: Can-Am MG1 runs 6 injectors (3 primary and 3 secondary). Pro R MG1 runs 8 injectors (4 primary and 4 secondary).
